You jump in the shower right away so you do not blow your chance with a beautiful girl. No one likes to smell a locker room sweaty B.O. infested post workout person.
I would like to see you reply or add onto your question with who told you this though.

I've never heard of that. Weight loss through diet and exercise is a long process. Taking a shower after exercising shouldn't have any effect on that. If you're worried about losing weight, it's best not to weigh yourself each day, otherwise you can become discouraged. You're not going to lose noticeable weight after an hour on the treadmill, it takes more time than that. Sorry to ramble, but I hope the above information helps you.

I have lost weight without taking a shower right away. I have never heard such a remark. I think the shower part is useful for maintaining people relations. It's no fun to hang out with poorly smelling people.

I go for a swim and a trip into the steam room and then a cold plunge before my shower. I eat too much so I do not lose weight and that is the only reason

I’ve never heard of that. If you’re burning more calories than you’re consuming, you will lose weight. Now, you can wear extra clothing while working out to sweat out more. If you need to drop a few pounds in a hurry- that gets you quick results.

LOL no! Why would that be? I've never heard that before---although it really does feel great to jump in a cool shower after a tough workout!
