When i was a kid, i used to have this recurring nightmare. Well, it was more like a night terror, as the actual dream wasn't that scary, i just woke up in a panic. I was crouched down at the side of a railway track and there was a train coming. I had to accomplish a task (i don't know what, that wasn't an issue in the dream) before the train went past me. But the point was, i knew it was impossible, as it only took a few seconds for the train to get to me. It was a weird dream, but i had it lots of times. What does it mean?

Hi Coz:
Despite all kinds of claims by a wide variety of (what I personally call "charlatans") so-called "dream interpretors" that each and every dream has a specific meaning, I simply don't believe in that hogwash! Dreams are simply manifestations of your (sometimes overactive) imagination, mostly either related to an experience (recent or long past is irrelevant) which has left some impression upon your sub-conscious mind, or expectations/wishes/desires which you would like to have realized . . . Analyze your dream next time along those lines, and you'll probably find a logical explaination. If a bad dream keeps on recurring, you would probably benefit from paying a visit to an analyst / psychologist / psychiatrist to find the underlying problem which stimulates the recurrance of your dream . . . and solve it from that point of view . . .
Good luck sweetie!

It meant that you watched too many cartoons where the villain tied the young girl to the train tracks only to be saved by the hero,,,which was usually Under Dog or Dudley Do right. Sounds like your subconscious was frustrated by this for some reason?

Sounds like you had a inner fear of failing at what seemed to be an impossible task and because of it you'd end up being passed by & left behind.
