Tesco Insurance is a brand name for Royal Bank of Scotland. As they include the most popular brands of Insurance in the UK including Direct Line, Churchill, Tesco, Nat West, Privilege, Prudential and several of the manufacturer's "free" schemes, you could say that they know what they are doing.
The biggest problem is the sheer size of their operation. You may find that if there are any problems occuring it can be because they handle so many claims every day. They are one of the largest insurers in the UK so they do get the job done.
If you are directed to one of their "approved repairers" to carry out the work, remember this is optional and you are under no obligation to have the work done there just because they tell you.
You are perfectly entitled to choose your own garage. If they tell you that the repairs will take longer to do and weeks to authorise, that's not the case. A switched on repairer will be able to get the job authorised quickly enough.
And as most RBS repairers are swamped with jobs (there's a lot of policies out there, so there are stacks of claims) you could get the job done quicker at the garage of your choice.
Tesco (RBS) are good at the job and you should have no problems.

because of the fact in spite of the undeniable fact which you have a years NCB giving something like 10% decrease fee the coverage fees have long previous up and wiped that out and nonetheless further some extra on acceptable. formerly renewing get costs from 4 distinctive assessment web content, plus get a quote from Avviva and Direct line. next if Tesco are extra desirable than the main inexpensive for the same conceal ring Tesco and say"tournament this quote and unwell stay with you" - in the event that they do no longer thengo someplace else. whilst on the assessment sites verify you place the a number of scales, as an occasion the excess and the extras like criminal conceal etc to comparable to Tescos quote.

I have everything insured with Tesco, my car, my house even my cat!!
I've found them absolutely awesome to deal with. When someone crashed into me they arranged my curtesy car to be delivered even before my car had been picked up by the garage! My parents switchted to Tesco because of the service I received from them. My stepdad got crashed into 2 weeks before me (it was a bad month) and his car didn't get taken into the garage as his insurance didnt sort it out till after mine!!
Also incidentally, their home insurance covers electrical items like PC's, laptops, TV's and DVD's against accidentaly damage as STANDARD!!! I accidentally cracked the screen of my laptop and was nearly in tears because of it till I saw this on my home insurance and was raving about Tesco to anyone who would listen for weeks!!
