I own an '05 Toyota Tundra and have had it for about a year. The outlets have always worked fine but then today they all stopped working.

I usually have my Ipod and my GPS plugged in but yesterday, on an unusually long drive home, I plugged in my laptop into an inverter just to let it charge. After about an hour, it stopped charging but I thought nothing of it because my Ipod and my GPS continued to get power.

But today I'm getting no power from any of the outlets. What could be the problem? How can I fix it?

The fuses were exactly the problem but I have one more question. They were 15 amp fuses, is it possible to put in a 20 or 30 amp fuse so that I can charge my laptop on the road?

You probably blew a fuse. I did this when I plugged a small air pump into the outlet. The system is not designed for high-amp devices. Just small things like phone chargers, GPS units, iPod chargers, and other similar devices. Inverters and tire pumps put too much load on the system. If you want to use one, you need to wire it to the battery with a higher-amp fuse.

The "accessory" ports are usualy rated @ 5 amps.
Your "cigarette lighter" is rated @ 20 amps and they are two separate circuits.

Next time, use your laptop plugged into your "cigarette ligher.

Look under the dash, left side of the steering wheel behind a plastic cover.
The fuses should be identified on the back of the cover.
One of them burned up inside the fuse it's self.
Use some small pliers or big tweezers to pull them out and look at them.

Sounds like a fuse. The DC outlets, clock, cigarette lighter and maybe interior light are normally on the same fuse. Check your panel and see if the fuse is blown.
