Sure!

Let's say you have a total order of $12.99 (subtotal). Then add the .75 processing fee to it for the 2nd subtotal of 13.74.

Ok, now multiply 13.74 times .085 which equals $1.17. Add $1.17 to the $13.74 for a total charge to your customer of $14.91.

Make sense? contact me at avonfromstubby@yahoo.com if you have any questions at all about your business. I'll be glad to answer them :)

Check with an accountant on whether or not you need a tax id or not. My accountant said for my state, independent contractors do not have to have a federal tax id unless you are a storefront business with employees and have a business license. So far, you can sell AVON from your home and not have to have a tax ID or a business license.

If your local tax rate is 8.5% - all you need to do is multiply the total amount of the sale by 8.5% and add it up.
Example:
Sale = 25.00
Tax = (25.00 * .085) = $2.125 (rounded up) = $2.13
Final Amount = $27.13

*Another way is to just multiply the sale amount by 1.085 - this will give you your final amount without having to add at the end. (25.00 * 1.085 = $27.125 - rounded up to $27.13)

Another Example
Sale = 16.50
Tax ($16.50 * .085) = 1.4025 (round to 1.40)
Final amount = $17.90

Have you gotten a sales tax ID from your state to allow you to collect the tax and remit it to them? If you haven't, you need to do that.
