Why are the most religious people the ones who say everyone else is going to hell, simply because they don't believe the same way? How can you claim to be the followers of a loving god, yet be so intolerant of all his other creations? How can you be so sure that you are right and everyone else is wrong? Do you actually think that the creator would only create SOME people to go to heaven, and make the rest burn in hell? Don't you think that God is better than that? That people can have their own ways to be spiritual, so long as they harm none? Why do you think that God needs people to fall down and worship him? And why, if you are soo Godly, do you mock the beliefs of others and revel in the idea that these other people will fry in hell?

because their beliefs can be completely dissipated by anyone who uses logic....so, they have to either have their believes go up in smoke, or be intolerant of those with logic.

I am not sure why that is. I have had it happen to me many times. I am a Christian and my first rule is love one another. I think that some people are just afraid. Fear leads to all types of intolerance's and abuse. I don't think anyone God is smiling right now whether it's Yahweh,Jehovah,Allah,Jesus etc... Lots of people I have talked to take the written words of their beliefs as though it was written by their god. ( Last time I checked Jesus wasn't writing any articles etc...) These words are written by prophets(men) not God. They are used to illustrate what God wants for us. But people use stories like Sodom and Gomorrah to say things like God's going to punish you. If they keep reading they would also read things like the the verse about do unto others. I don't know if I have helped and I am not sure why people are afraid to accept differences when God created them in the first place. I think if we realized we were here to learn and not teach we would all be much more able to see what makes us so alike.

I know I'm going to Heaven, but since I believe in him isn't that God's promise? Most of the time I feel, however, as if I'm not right with God, so I ask for forgiveness. Two disciples fought about who would be at Jesus' right hand in Heaven, check out Jesus' reply.

Matt 9:35

Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all."

Plus, He said He would give us all salvation, if we believed. There's nothing about having to have an amount of money or being s certain race, or knowing the whole Bible, or what clothes you wear.

6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

No, I don't believe that God made some people to go to the Kingdom and some to go to Hell. But, that the choices of those that follow the Evil One will cause them to be communing together in the lake of fire and those that choose to be a doer of the Word and follow the Christ will be communed in the Kingdom of God.

Yes, God does want people to worship, love and obey Him! Because He is the Almighty God and there is no other like Him. The problem with the human race is that we sometimes get confused at WHO the Almighty is. He is not like us, He is over us in EVERY WAY! We are not even good enough to be dirt under His sandals! He is WORTHY of our praise!

You are right about some self-proclaimed Christians being intolerant of others - they are not true Christians, their character proves who they are really following. Because Christ never demeaned anyone, not even Satan while he was tempting Him. Christ is loving and kind, yet He is as is His Father "Just" and their justice system is not like ours on earth. Human justice is mingled with error and could never maintain the standards of the Almighty.

So, don't follow human error, read your Bible and learn about the character of God and His Beloved Son and what it takes to be a "TRUE CHRISTIAN" and then follow them to everlasting life.

God Bless You

I have never experienced it myself, but let me offer a few thoughts.

First, when people say "you are going to hell" that is the kind of judgement that God calls upon us NOT to do. Only God judges people and determines where they will spend eternity. If someone tells you that, point out what I just said.

Second, Scripture says that love is patient, kind, does not envy, does not boast, is not proud, is not rude, is not self seeking, is not easily angered, keeps no record of wrongs, does not delight in evil and rejoices in Truth. If someone claims to be a Christian and is not this way, tell them they need to read 1st Corinthians 13 and adjust their attitude accordingly.

As for the idea that God creates some for Heaven and some for Hell, I am afriad you are wrong there. The Scripture does say that some are made for honorable use and some for dishonorable. It is not our place to judge God for how he made us. However, how do we know we are one or the other? And if we do not know ourselves that well, how can we know others?

As to God needing peopel to worship Him, you are incorrect. God, being self sufficent, does not need anything. Scripture makes it clear that all our best works are as bloody rags to Him. He does not need us. We worship God in recognition that He is God and deserving of it.

Finally, the mocking of anothers belief, from my experience, is more often coming from atheist circles and directed toward theists. No one should mock anothers beliefs if for no other reason than it is rude. I think it is acceptable to question, challenge, and even provide alternative views to anothers faith. But, that must be done in a respectful and gracious manner. in otehr words, we who are Christians are called upon to be kind and gentle, loving others enough to point out what we consider their errors but to do so in a manner that shows a genuine caring for others well being. If we are not doing that, then we are not living up to the calling God has given us.

God gave us a choice to follow him and do the right thing or not to do the right thing. i know my God is real because when im down or im sad i can just talk 2 him about anything and i feel better. u probably think that God is like someone holding a gun to ur head and forcing u to do something but hes not. hes a gentlemen and will wait for u 2 do the right thing. some people are crazy finatics but some are just like u but with a different perspective on life.

It is wrong for those people to say someone is going to hell, because God the father is the only judge and personally I don't want His job. I too, have encountered people who are very quick to judge but the bible says we will be judged in the way that we judge others. Now I don't believe that God created anyone to go to hell. He gave us all free will and we can choose to follow Him or not. We can all read the bible for ourselves and use it for a guide for our lives. God gave us all the gift of salvation but that gift is not a liscence to go around damning people to hell. I am not making excuses for them because there is no excuse for that kind of behavior but we are all sinners and Christians are sinners as well. Please don't categorize all of us as judgemental because I do not judge like I said that is God's job, and I don't want it. As far as God needing people to fall down and worship Him, He just loves us and wants us to love Him back. He has the angels to worship Him and they also have free will. I personally thank God for everything even hardships because I know He is teaching me something I need to learn ( like a parent and child) and that shows He loves me enough to take the time to teach me. I am very sorry that you have encountered such people as you asked about and if they knew the kind of impression they were leaving on the world maybe they would try harder to live up to the christian (meaning Christ-like) name. And I also think it is important to bring questions like this one up so they can examine their lives and change.

It's been my experience in life that anyone who feels that they have obtained some "clue" or "truth" that the rest of us haven't figured out yet are unbelievably arrogant and obnoxious people. That goes for self-righteous religious nuts and resentful impatient atheists. It's probably just an inescapable and common human failing, a personality issue. With religious types, it can become particularly trying because they feel emboldened by their numbers.

Actually, that's completely wrong. I've never met anyone who's told me I'm going to hell, and to basically say all christians do that when its actually a very small minority of idiots who do that, well, lets say its shows that you're most likely not a sincere person but just another basher. People who come to this section simply to bash need to get lives.

As anyone who's here often can clearly see, its the rabid atheists who are the most intolerant of all.

Remember, Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was and he replied, "Love God and love your neighbor as yourself." He even told the world to love their enemies, pray for them. That's not easy is it, for most of us to not judge our neighbor, see the speck in our brother's eye when we have a log stuck in our own.

Some churches are hard on people out of the fellowship.

Perhaps more of us need to accept a variety of paths people walk and let them decide which way they seek. We may share faith, but it should never be forced upon someone. JMHO

Great question, and some of them don't believe that The Lord Jesus Christ is God
and they call themselves Christians.
