Your best bets are lots of vegetables, including beans.
Eliminate all processed flour & sugar, to lower the carbs.
For meats, go for turkey, without the skin, or ground up.
Better still, choose fish, for the good fats (omega3/6).

SWEET BEAN POT
Rinse & drain 3 to 5 cans of different types of beans.
Place into a slow-cooker, & set aside.
Cook 5 to 8 strips of chicken/turkey bacon crisp & drain.
Soften thinly sliced Spanish onion in 2 tbsp of drippings.
Add 2 cloves of garlic, minced, stir for 2 minutes.
Add 1 cup brown sugar, or substitute 1/4 cup molasses.
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar, 1 tsp dry mustard, 1/2 tsp salt.
Bring to boil, add to beans, stir & cover.
Cook 6 hours on low, or 3 hours on high.

Some type of low fat fish and a veggie. I like to eat salads topped with low-fat or fat free dressing and shrimp. Very low in calories and fat.

Brown rice, lentils, and veggies and a little bit of olive oil. You get whole grains, protein, and a little bit of healthy fat that you need.
