What I've seen a lot of is brown and teal....I think that's pretty. But since it's in April, you might consider white being the primary color and accent in teal. Then your favorite color takes the stage :)
Good luck

For April I would think Easter and Spring. Teal with pastel pink or a pretty vanilla cream color, for an evening event I might go with teal and a dark taupe color. Teal would also go well with a light heather gray. Lots of Tulips and Lilies.

Teal is nice. How about robin's egg blue or sky blue? Since you said teal and that is a part of that family, I was thinking of other light blue colors.
Peach is also nice. Canary yellow. Lilac is also a nice light color for an April wedding. I hope these suggestions helps you out.

Find an object with several colors that inspires you. That is what they do on HGTV and how I decorated my bedroom. I suggest going to a craft store and looking at pillows, vases, or fabrics. Even paintings. Then pick 2 or 3 colors from your favorite. Monet, the impressionist artist, does soft garden scenes, you could look at those maybe. I put a link to one of his waterlily paintings below, maybe choose the blue, green, and have the fuschia accents in small amounts. That would be a little bolder choice. Anyway, using an inspiration piece like this would give you something special to refer back to, in a color scheme that is already proven. I also included a website that does good cheap decor. I LOVE the flower string lights, they would be gorgeous for a garden wedding. They come in a variety of pretty colors as well, I just have it set to cream.

I'd say lavender, lite sunny yellow with accents in lavender, or teal with accents in liter tones of teal. Really spring is a perfect time for a colorful wedding because it's blooming.
Congrats!

I think traditionally spring weddings favor soft pastel colors. However I think any pastels, neutrals or bright colors are OK.
But most of all- I think it doesn't matter what season your wedding is in. This will be your special day and one you will remember for the rest of your life. If you love teal then I think that's the color you should pick.

Soft spring pastels... pinks, purples, baby blues. grays..
One idea to possibly consider is a light gray/silver with teal accents.
