Hello I am an interviewer (independent) that will regularly be recording 3 people at a time in a studio setup / and sometimes going out to stores/companies doing a review of their products with 2-3 people. And I’m looking for a professional quality camcorder that has at least 3 microphones inputs and high definition quality. What do you recommend? My coworker who will be recording wants a nice professional digital look that he can then download to his laptop and edit and then upload on my Website and Youtube. Any suggestions or has anyone a particular camcorder that has excellent quality

Go t o Sony HDV . HRP-A1P is the right choice. But for audio you need a field digital audio mixer that caters for 3 microphone. Each can be control individually, then output it into camera mic. input. Use high quality mics to get better audio recording

in the mid-1980s there was a limited production of analog video field recorders that could record 4 simultaneous microphones. of these, only the Sony BVW35 would be of interest to you, using the SP tape only as regular betacam had only 2 audio tracks. it comes in a portable package and battery operated. To this you can add video from any camera, so make sure the camera has AV outputs. Not easy shopping for used gear, but it would be ideal for your needs.

"Quality" and "under $150" do not go in the same sentence when referring to camcorders.
