This you inquired under the banner of Dream Interpretation. While there are indeed certainly those who 'can' translate the meaning of dreams, they are very few who can do interpretation with adept skill -- very, very few indeed. Dream essence and origin is not centered on or tied solely with one's physical existence.
Be apprised of this. More important, see that the greatest of interpreter for you would be you. For dreaming has ties with life on many a level though the medium is centered at one level as, say, the station of reception and projection, like that of an air traffic controlling point...
Souls are tuned to the very Fabric of existence, which force knows of all levels and bodies, known and unknown.
Your specific dream understanding can be made more precise if you give it the means to become so. This can be availed by using a journal, in which you can put down almost at once the dream you had just on awakening -- doesn't matter if it makes sense or not at first. You just jot down what snippets come through to you, even if it is an image or feeling or some vision or display. You don't want to write things down as if you were writing a paper.
Now, it is this... You must condition yourself to awaken once the dream has subsided -- at once you train yourself to jot this down. Don't indulge but simply go back to sleep. As the days and weeks proceed, you may see certain things make themselves known to you, in a way that only you would know the intimation -- because, after all, it is all yours anyway or at least yours in terms of the immediate responsibility involved.
I say this because dreams can come through individuals in which the purpose and intent is to manifest this to others that they can make use of it for the good of many.
It has been so in ancient times, it is even more so the case today, contrary to some people's beliefs otherwise.
Now, back to the point here: eventually you will begin to connect things, some may be tied to your waking day, some may not. Don't try to make sense of these things till later. Once you grow accustomed to this and your mind settles, things will unfold and deliver the meaning of the dream(s). Some of these dreams may come in tandem with others, like a series...
Bear in mind again, some are not meant to make sense. Still others may be tied into some medication you will have been taking, which is solely a physical prompting, like a computer does when some breach or some oversight occurs and gives notice of it. Likewise of course, some are simply and wholly organic related, which show indication of good health and mind.
And then there are the Waking Dreams, in which things are shown you during the course of activities of the day, which sometimes can curiously appear in print or some explicit way with no uncertainty, and shown at some uncanny moment that you will see is not possibly of randomity; certainly not of coincidence, for there is no such thing as coincidence...
This takes us to the point that God or Spirit or 'Something' works in mysterious ways. This is one of such means by which That works -- quietly, and tailored to the individual or environ it is directed to and for.
If you are a lucid dreamer, then you need only intend dreaming and they do begin to make visitation, they just come with certain precision, and which it becomes a science, an art in you, for dreaming can indeed become in varying degree one in the pantheon of the mantic arts and sciences...
Do not stop them. They proceed at their own volition anyway in great measure. But you can enhance this. Force is not of the realm of the dream state. Simply relax and open up, become clear about it, find out the why and what, and you will go on to become your own protection and guardian in addition will you come to know those protections given that are afforded anyone.
Dreams are of the real realm; while this waking state is truly of the illusory realm, a reflection in three-dimension.
We are not alone. Why not work with rather than against Life?

Ask yourself why you would want to stop it. It's a spiritual gift that you are being prompted to use to help yourself and others.
If you really want to end it, get up as soon as your realize you are waking up, and the memory of the dream is often lost by a quick arousal.
