How much longer do you think the PS2 will be around?
I had one but went off to college and I am thinking about getting another one since my brother uses mine now.

How much longer do you think the PS2 will be around?
I had one but went off to college and I am thinking about getting another one since my brother uses mine now.
I cant afford a PS3 if I could I would get one.

Games are still being made for the ps2 however just like the ps1 that will stop happening eventually. Considering that the 3 console market players have all released their newest machine its not likely the ps2 will get many more games.

Sony probably won't kill the PS2 until the PS3 starts selling well or a PS4 comes out. Right now the PS2 is helping to hold up Sony's gaming division. They probably won't stop supporting the PS2 for a while.

I think PS2 will be around for a long time maybe until a 3rd generation console comes out and the PS3 becomes cheaper

Sony officials already mentioned, that Sony slowly shifts it's attention from PS2 to PS3. I say, that they'll make PS2 games for another 6 months.

Well all the major companies are now gone like Square-enix and Rockstar to name a few so the games that are coming out are just really bad or poorly made I am getting my PS3 in march to get GTAIV and wait for FF XIII but anyhow good luck

not that much longer all the games are for ps3 i would say 6moths-1yr
