I plan on a death bed confession myself.
God can let you be evil your whole life, just as long as you find him before you die. Live a little Christians. (anyway)
People should do things because they want to, not because Jesus or God tells them they have to.
I agree people who do it because they want to are better people, and are the ones I would want to keep if I were God

In the sense that an Atheist IS AN UNBELIEVER than NO, he or she should not be able to enter the kingdom of Heaven, but God is such a loving and merciful God, even to unbelievers, if they are heavy laden, burdened, at death and call upon his name and accept him in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, he/she shall be delivered and able to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. So with that explanation, YES an Atheist as an unbeliever now, who becomes a believer later or at anytime in his/her lifetime when calling upon God's name ... YES, he/she will be able to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven!! ... Great question!

Nobody deserves heaven, period!

Christians believe heaven is a free gift of God's grace. True Christians should be humble because they really deserve hell, but Christ paid for our sins!'

Christianity has nothing to do with how "good of a person we are" because we all have sinned whether you want to admit or not. Christianity is about the death and resurrection of Christ for our sins.

By Atheist, I assume you mean Atheist to the Judeo-Christian god.
I would say B, obviously. Doing good works for the sake of others is much less of a selfish act than good works for your own salvation.

Well it comes down to your values. Do you think a person who claims to be christian but is a horrible person deserves to go to heaven over a good person who had a valid reason not to believe in god?

It is the people who think otherwise that scare me. That is a god I want nothing to do with that is for sure. I don't really think an omnipotent being would care so much for our praise.

it is my understanding that atheists do not believe in heaven, so I rather doubt any of them will go there. I personally believe in another level of existence both before and after this life, so I don't plan on being in heaven either.

Why would you want to inflict "heaven" on an atheist? I mean, if it really is nice, sure, B. But I haven't seen a grounds map or an activity schedule yet. It might not be all it's cracked up to be.

The problem is most practitioners of both organized religion and atheism who mouth off on this site, are pompous pseudo intellectuals who think they have some superior knowledge the other is too stupid to grasp.

atheists do good because it is beneficial to all including themselves yes but, we also do "evil" in the eyes of "church goers" by denoucing the "lords" existance so if the dogma of " whatever you hold true on earth i'll hold true in heaven" is true we are breaking mans laws and in turn the "lords" laws.
