What is with you ladies that always seem to open a tin of corned beef and some how get your fingers cut?
I have opened thousands of cans and not even a nick.
Perhaps it is because I know the secret, which is............
Take off the key, position it on the tongue of the opening strip,
turn around the can until it come off.
Lay the can on its side, and whilst holding the narrow end of the can insert a fork into the gap and gently ease the beef from the can.
Once free turn it about and do the same with the thick end. Carefully dispose of the razor sharp edged can.
Corned beef and you should now be intact.

Yes, I had to have stitches after opening a tin years ago but now I throw away the key and open the tin with a butterfly tin opener ay both ends then push the meat through from the narrow end to the wider end.

This is to corner the market for people who don't own a
can opener. It is really a good idea; I just paid £5 for an
opener - you can get a lot of bully beef for that if you actualy
eat the Argy **** !

Good point. I have a scar on my wedding ring finger from a really bad cut that needed 6 stitches from one of those things.
In fact, have a star.

It's all about skills,,, what you have to do is get the lid perfectly straight before you turn the key. Best way is a pair of pliers & pull it straight off..
