around the casket listening to the eulogy be read. So I inch into the crowd to lean over the casket to see the deceased, when I look into the casket it's me thats dead. The dream was black & white (I usually remember if there is color) and I wake up when I notice who is dead..what the hell does that mean?????

death = disappointment, giving up, failure
The dream may have given you a shock. However, you may be feeling depressed, disappointed in reality. Projecting yourself in a casket symbolizes some sort of low self esteem and confidence in reality. In other words, there may be something happening in reality that make you feel unhappy and you may be feeling helpless. To you, death subconsciously may be only escape. Projecting it as third person to see yourself shows sign of conflict. Emotionally you don't know what to do in some aspects of life and that is why you are venting out dream like that.

It means you are languishing, you are in a rut, you are stuck in a position you do not like. It means you have to break out and make something of yourself. This is a SELF-PERCEPTION of being dead, like being stuck in a meaningless job or boring school. At least get a hobby, or start getting involved in sports or activities that really turn you on.

Do you feel your life is colorless, without excitement or boring? Death represents change, transitions, or endings. Being in a crowd is confusion or being "part of the crowd". It sounds as if you are seeking change in your life and are tired of being part of the crowd. Seeing your own death would represent the change in circumstances you are seeking or ending the boredom you feel at the moment.

when you dream you dream in symbols that are created by your sub-conscious to help you deal with problems that you find hard to deal with in the waking state. have no fears your dream does not mean that you are going to die. that is an old wives tale. but dreaming of your death does mean that something in your life is coming to an end. it could be a job, a relationship,any number of things. also please keep in mind that when something ends "dies" then something else begins or "lives" so to dream of death is to also to dream of new life. please be very open-minded right now to what is going on around you so that you are aware when that something new comes around. also be very critical about the something old that is going to come to an end if it hasn't alsready occurred

i believe this means that there is too much pressure on you at the present moment and the people at your funeral represents the onlookers in your life,those that you feel you need to impress.

I have heard that dreaming of death makes you live longer... I know that sounds stupid, but I read it in a book.
