From what I've heard from people who work at Lexus, it's really just a cool trick but when it comes to actually using it it's much easier to just park it yourself. I think it's more likely that Lexus just wanted to say "Ha, look what our car can do!" rather than give you a practical feature.

It is a completely worthless option. It doesn't even work but it sure makes the car look high tech in the TV commercials.

Lexus technology is an insult to our intelligence. They've even have a hybrid engine that gets like 1 mpg more than the regular engine and they try to sell it as a "green" car and charge you $5000 more for it. So all the rich snobs can say they are saving the environment.

Honestly no. Just another feature to add to the list of things that may go wrong. Also, the self-parking feature tends to leave you 12 inches or more from a curb! Not acceptable in most places. You'll end up having to adjust its parking attempt.

Well...I could sure use a car like that. I cannot parallel park (I have trouble with reverse...apparently my grandfather was the same way). If I cannot find a spot that's not a tight parallel spot, I just don't go.

It's a luxury feature found on high-end cars like Audis, Mercedes, etc. Unless you're completely unable to parallel park, i.e., mildly retarded, it's a waste of money.
