Ok I live my stepmom, were not related in anyway. I know who my real mom is and where she lives we talk sometimes. My stepmom has custody of me, and i kinda do want to move in with my real mom. Is there some sort of legal thing that has something to do with this...Does anyone know any websites or numbers...or maybe has experienced this themselves??

Your real Mom can go to court and either just get visitation rights or try to get partial or total custody of you.
Perhaps she can talk to your step mom and make some arrangements without going through a lawyer.

You don't say how old you are, or why your stepmom has custody of you, so without the details, I can only assume that your mother has some issues, and there fore you where taken away. If that isn't the case, then I would say you will have to wait until you reach a certain age( check in your state to see how old you have to be to move out) You also don't say if your mom wants you to come live with her. You could talk to an attorney to find out what your course of action could be. (legal help, sometimes is free) I hope things work out for you, for the best, maybe not what you want, but what is best for you.

First off it would depend on your age. If you are old enough then you can petion the court yourself. If your under 15 then you should have your mom file for custody for you.
If your not happy with your step-mom then she needs to know. I wish you all the luck.

Have you discussed this with your step-mom? Ask her and see what she says. Be honest and upfront.

Remember, she has been raising you. She is not a babysitter, she is your caregiver. If you want to be an adult about it, then be open with your feelings and what you want to do.
