My friend paid me with a torn $20 when he bought my mower.

There isn't any of the bill missing. It's taped, just in the middle.

Will places take this?

Yes, they match up. Same numbers. Thanx.

Most will, as long as both halves match.

One or two might be ignorant and unreasonable about it, but I wouldn't sweat it.

Yes most places will and the bank has to take it as long as it's real even if you only had one half the bank will still take it and give you another one

Maybe or Maybe not. Go to the bank and they will replace it with a brand new $20 bill.

Take it to your bank. As long as the serial numbers are on it, the bank will replace it & you won't have to worry about any place rejecting it. Businesses have the right to reject, a bank will replace :)
