Nice song, but if I heard those sentiments from a guy I'd assume it was a line.

its an example of how the lust of the flesh, or the worship of another person can separate you from God.

There was a guy I was bananas about when I was younger. I would do anything for him. On one occasion, I even put my own freedom on the line. Dumb...but I didnt care about doing right...I just wanted to express my love for him.

No one should love someone so much, that you dont want to 'do right'. This is a veiled way of the devil selling sin as an opiate.....'forget about doing right...lets just dwell on love right now'

It sounds like a person is in love with someone, and does not have the right to them. Like adultery etc..But that kind of love is selfish.

If love is ever wrong then it isn't love at all. Love - putting the wellbeing of others first regardless of circumstances - is never wrong.

depends on what its reffering to .. adulterous love ... same-sex love ... whether its reffering to the love act or emotional love ..
