From what I've seen of the book, it's not a "diet", but a lifestyle. I lost weight when i eliminated meat and pure junk from my diet. I lost weight when I eliminated dairy and eggs. I did not do it to lose weight, but because I realized that consumption of those things are not healthy for the animals, the environment or myself. I would like to read the book, but that would involve going to the library, a simple luxury I cannot afford now with my three-week-old daughter.

I ordered the Skinny D product based on testimonials and for the fact it was advertised on a Christian radio station. My hope was that my appetite would be curbed drinking this product. I have not had that effect but I do have very good bowel movements. Even after exercising and cutting back on sugar, my weight loss is only a couple pounds....After talking with a customer service rep (great by the way) I have agreed to try it for 2 more weeks following their suggestions to sip the drink and eat plenty of protein. If my appetite hasn't decreased in a couple more weeks I am pulling the plug on this product and requesting my refund of $179.00.
