would you choose to have an adventure and go somewhere with lots of things to see and do? They both sound great, but quiet and restful would be my choice right now. Maybe to a peaceful lake with pretty fall colors. How about you?

Ok, Daisey, you go off on your adventure and send me detailed letters of all that's happening. And I'll read them while I'm sitting on the dock at the lake, listening to the loons and enjoying my hazy, lazy day. Deal?! lol

I'm enjoying all your answers..thanks! You'd think I'd be happy living so close to the ocean, but too many tourists and not as tranquil as that lake I seem to be fixated on. And luvs, go to the mountains and visit your family!...sounds wonderful there!

Cheryl, the rewards for all your hard work are going to bring you such joy. Don't own an RV, but I'd rent one just to come and support your venture!

My dream is Lake Shrinigar in Kashmir. It has large houseboats that look like floating palaces with steps leading down to the water so vendors, food sellers, trinket makers carpet sellers and all manner of water bourne folk can paddle up and display their wares for your choosing.
You are waited on hand and foot and treated like royalty, your meals are prepared and drinks served.
All you do is laze around all day in the mild warmth of the sun and gaze at the majestic Himalayan mountains and direct the boatman where to go next.
The flies are too lazy to buzz you, the bees are so heavy with nectar they cant fly, the fish just float about and the birds hang suspended in the cool mountain air, the children are amazing artistes who clamour to amuse you and the most strenuous thing to do is digest your next meal.
The most amazing thing is THIS PLACE IS REAL.

I'd like to go sit on Gladys' porch swing and read. Then go to my daughters in Wisconsin and see the new Eagle Birding Center they just opened. Fish in the Mississippi with my son in law. Eat some of the deer and turkey they've been stocking up on. She has a hobby farm and daycare so I'm sure we would be busy some of the time. Maybe stop by and meet Lady G face to face also. Maybe I could meet some other friends from Yahoo Answers that live out that way.

I'm actually going on a big adventure this weekend - we leave on Saturday for a 3 week tour of Egypt. This has been a dream of ours, ever since we were both at Sunday School and looked at pictures of the Pyramids and The Sphinx...and now we are actually doing it ! Cruising down the Nile, visiting all the temples and tombs, seeing first-hand all the wonderful artifacts. How exciting is that !

Definitely a relaxing getaway. The weather here is perfect and the fall colors are at their peak. I would be happy in my backyard sitting on the porch swing with a big glass of iced tea and a good book. As a matter of fact . . . I'm off!

Yes, this be a very busy weekend for me as I prepare for my new venture. There is much to do, no time now for relaxing.
When the tides have changed and all is done, then and only then will I relax along the shoreline and fish until my heart is content.

Gracie, I need activity. I want to see sights. I am ready to get on a train to take me away from here. I want to see the Grand Canyon, and I want to go to Montreal. That is what I want to do and hope, Lord be willing, that I can do it next spring! I am saving my $$$$ to be sure I can make it happen. Seize the day, tomorrow is not promised to you.

It's a deal! Don't let the skitters bite ya! lol

i sit at home most all of the time and it is peaceful and sometimes boring. my idea for a weekend trip is to hit reno and play some slots, check out the shows, eat at the buffets and have a good time. this would be relaxing and fun at the same time

I would rent a cabin and go horseback riding through the timber and listen to the rustle of the leaves that are beginning to change and watch the sun go down!

Since I live in the country, most of my days are pretty restful. It's usually just hubby, me and the critters. If I could go somewhere, it would be to see my mom or daughter. I don't get to see my family near enough. They both live in the mts and the leaves are beautiful in the fall.
