You seem to be confusing your mom with God. An easy mistake to make, no doubt.

God forgives our sins and iniquities when we ask on the basis and Merit of the Atonement which He has provided. And, of course, we ask and sincerely repent and are heartily sorry for our misdoings.

Your sister misbehaved towards her/your mother. She should be sorry and should apologize to the person she wronged. Usually we do get spanked, too, because that way they make sure that we are "sorry", when our backside gets "sore".

First of all, your mom isn't Gd.
Second of all, she should find a better means of discipline; spanking accomplishes nothing but damaging a child's sense of security by instilling fear of the person who she has the right to trust above all others.

Your mom needs to realize your sister was just repeating something she'd heard. By reacting the way she did, your mother made 'bit*h" a powerful word. Now your sister will use it again. Except now that she's been spanked, it'll be deserved.

People who can't think of a more constructive form of discipline than spanking shouldn't breed.

Mothers and Fathers are there to teach up what is right and wrong, to have good morals and to respect others. Sometimes a spanking is good because it reinforces what you are being taught. I do not condone beatings, but a simple swat on the backside is a good wake up call!

God forgives our sins, and so do our parents most of the time. But, just because you are forgiven, doesn't mean you get by without being punished. The bible says that God punishes his children when they do wrong. He loves them, but that doesn't mean they don't get punished.

she is just making sure she absolutely knows its wrong. and God does forgive our sins. but sometimes we also get punished.

Your mom is making sure your sister doesn't do that again. I am sure she has forgiven your sister. Besides, your sister's "I am sorry," probably wasn't sincere anyway. I can't believe your nine year old sister called your mom that. Wow

your sister didn't ask God to forgive her, and I'm sure her "sorry" wasn't from the heart.

with that being said, your sister likely spoke the truth.
