Seriously on ABC they just showed a kangaroo got hit on a track over seas. How is that going to effect and car going 180 mph? They are suppose to show the story at 5 p.m. I think.

I saw one driver do a little rubbin on the Roo. Why wern't they letting him pit? Didn't he give the hand signal?

If you look close it seems one guy tagged the wall. Did he throw his helmet at the Roo?

I saw it on TV this AM. Great driving. You never saw the Dale Earnhardt Sr hit a seagull as the green flag waved at a Daytona 500 start a few years ago? It flew right into his fender as he was doing about 150 mph. Not a pretty thing to see.....it happened so fast it was just a red blur off his fender. Fact.
I was at a dirt track in northern Michigan many many years ago when a deer came out of the dark and ran across the track as the cars were on a pace lap. They red flagged the start, track people went around the outside of the track in the dark to make sure there weren't anymore.

No, there would be no incidents like this(involving kangaroos or other animals)*unless it was a small one like a rat. wich wouldn't make much damage to a car*. since the protective walls for Nascar tracks are tall to protect people in case of an accident. and also being that the track is round. it leave no opening for animal to wonder into the track.

NASCAR raced in Australia back in the late 80's. There probably wasn't a roo within 5 miles of the Thunderdrome with 40 some-odd American v-8's rumbling!!!

When I was there in '88, we hit a roo on our way back from Narrogin after watching a race. It wasn't good. Thank god for Roo Bars!!!

I saw a race at Pocono where they had deer running across the track...during a NASCAR race. I can't remember exactly when it was.

WOW!!! Great video. That kangaroo was very lucky it didn't get hit, and what about those drivers? WOW!!! Great driving. Not only did they not hit the kangaroo, they didn't wreck trying to avoid the kangaroo either!!!! If Nascar was to race there i'm sure kangaroos would be on their minds. Wow that was crazy!!!!

Getting hit by a stock car doing over 190 mph (305Kmph) ouch I bet that is going to be one sore kangaroo.
