I follow the Bible because after careful study, I have come to know that it really is what it claims to be – the inspired word of God. Its historical soundness, candor and honesty, internal harmony, scientific accuracy, fulfilled prophecy, archaeological support, and its sound counsel give solid evidence – and it must be remembered that the evidence is cumulative – upon which to base my trust in what it contains.

I have applied what I have learned from the Bible in my life and have benefited greatly.
I am a better person now and I am very happy.

It's because of the Bible that I changed.
I have been married now for 11 years and because of the Bible I am a better husband and Father.

I was honest and humble and read the Bible to see if it really was from God, and I believe for a fact that it truly is from God.

My life has meaning now.
I know why we are here and we have a wonderful hope for the future.

I believe in God and I believe that the Bible has a rich history that we can learn from. I don't believe in labeling myself with a religious title. I follow many things that are in the Bible and I believe God guides me and gives me what I need from it. The truth is in there, it will be given to you the way God wants you to see it. I've often wondered why would someone want to take you away from God when it makes you happy and content? If I seen someone believing in something, even though I didn't believe the same way, I wouldn't want to take the happiness they feel away. Why make a person feel like they have nothing when they feel like they do?

archaeological evidence, scientific information stated in there long before scientists believed it, fulfilled prophecy, extrabiblical information confirming biblical events, etc. who would ever believe Israel could become a nation again after everything it went through? How have the Jews survived so many different things? There shouldn't be any Jews in existence, but there are a lot, including my family! I have seen a medical miracle even in my own family. My uncle survived aplastic anemia after being given a less than 1% chance to live at the age of ten. He's 41, and survived a liver transplant 5 years ago.

I believe in the bible. I believe it is true. Because it is written in our Quran. I just cant do what the bible says because, It has been altered in many points and there are many contradicting parts because of the people who altered them.
So I just follow the Quran which was never altered and there is only one Quran which is the has been the same since it was given to us by God.

Two different questions.

I believe in the Bible because I believe that the Church is the Body of Christ and that she has the duty to determine just which Books are Holy Scripture and which are not.

As for "Scripture Alone" - 90% of Christians, past, present and future do not hold to that doctrine. Nobody believed "Sola Scriptura" before the late 1400's - 1500's.

There was an active, spirit-filled, growing Church before there was a canon of Scripture.

I agree with its picture of the universe. I don't agree with Muslim concepts, b/c they ignore the point that the same God the Jews pray to is the same God they claim to be Allah, yet deny Abraham followed Jewish practices. They can trace their lineage back to Adam, but ignore that the God of the NT is the same God for David. I can't believe in the no god theory. It leaves me with an unanswerable question of why adhere to a definition of good and evil? Surely, those concepts were around before mankind could write them down. If good and evil are not universal, then any reference to an ultimate reality is subjective. If so, can resurrections have significance outside of religion? To deny God exists requires more knowledge than accepting. After all, how can you double check your conclusion?

As a Christian I read and study the Bible. It is
God's Word to mankind, his manual for life. It also tells us about God, his purpose for mankind and his solution to the problems. It also answers questions such as, why we are here? Why we grow old and die? It gives hope for a better world. A world of unity and peace with no sickness, fear or death. If you follow the Bible principles it helps you to cope with the problems of this world.
as a footstep follower of Christ, you learn to have love for your fellowman. John 13 v 34 & 35.

I don't care how many times this question is asked. It is a great question and well worth answering a hundred thousand times, because it is so very important.

Before I began studying the bible, seriously, in depth, I thought it was merely a book written by men, that's all. I have been in bible study for ten years. During these most wonderful years of my life, I have seen incredible things happen. The words of God in the bible came into me and transformed my life. I have seen His promises and His word proven true over and over and over again. The bible says His word is living and active, and I have found that to be true.

It is my opinion that no person can "prove" to another person that the bible is truly the inspired word of God. There is only one who can: God Himself. And to anyone who truly seeks, He will in no wise cast you out. You can know for yourself that you can stand on His word today, tomorrow, forever.

Thank you for another opportunity to answer this!

I am a happier person now that I have accepted Bible teachings. My prideful human brain still has doubts but my heart is soothed by being with people who are confident of God's promises revealed in the Word.
