*Honest answers only* ok..tommorow is my bday and i wanna go get a small tribal flower tattoo on top of my foot is prob the size of a half dollar. i had a butterfly on my shoulder blade last year...it was a breeze i thought it was going to be terrible and im not a huge fan of pain!..lbut its more meat there.lol.i just need to know how BAD is the pain,is it unbearable? and what is your foot like for the next few days?

because it is small it won't be too bad. out of all the tattoo work i have done the feet hurt the most as a whole but my foot tattoos are large enough to cover the whole top of my foot.
you DO need to know that you can't wear shoes or socks for two weeks after getting your foot tattooed!!! if you do there is a likely chance that your tattoo will not heal properly and will look bad. flipflops are the only thing you can wear until it is healed. your foot will also swell for a few days so you should keep it elevated as much as possible. as for what you're getting.... i hate tribal tattoos, i think it is dumb to get something like that unless you are IN a tribe or are decendent from a tribe, but whatever. it's your body.

I got a good size tattoo on the top of my foot and it didn't really hurt any more than my other seven tattoos did. Seriously, after a while, ya just get used to the sensation of it since that's a really bony spot with not a lot of fleshy area (such as your arm or something). More than likely your foot will jerk some but a good artist will be able to compensate for that considering it's normal for that to happen.
Also, you need to go without shoes that will rub on your new tattoo for about a week or so. I wore flip flops when I had to go somewhere, which, hey showed off my new ink!!! It was a little tender that first day at the site, but after that, it just itched. I didn't really moisturize it much, only when it felt dry. Keep it clean and smack it when it feels itchy rather than rubbing and you ought to be ok. Good Luck.

its going to be worse than your shoulder. They say the foot and the ribs are the worse because the skin is so thin and there are so many bones there. As you know already the pain is not unbearable so just sit still and grin and bear it. The next couple of days dont wear tight shoes or heavy socks. I would suggest flip flops or slippers if you can. It shouldnt affect how you walk or move or anything. just make sure not to touch it.

Since it's so small it'll be over before you know it. It won't hurt as much as you think. I have the tops of both feet done and whilst it hurt (obviously, it's a tattoo lol), it wasn't unbearable at all.

I have 6 tattoos and one of them is on the foot and one is on the ribs, and neither of them were unbearable. The wrist now thats a different story.

Well.. the pain for me was unbelievable. i was really surprised I didnt think it would hurt as bad as it did. It felt like a steak knife being cut into my skin. Hurt Really BAD but everyones different. After I had it done it didnt hurt at all unless being touched..i had to wear sneakers the following day for 3 hours .. i was really worried but it didnt bother me at all and after 2 days after it didnt even hurt to touch. some people say its hard to walk but i experienced nothing like that!

My friend has one. She says it didn't hurt more than any other part of her body (she has several). Her foot looked great after it. She was wearing sandals showing it off the next day

i have a tattoo on the top of my foot and goes off under and around my ankle bone and it wasn't bad... its worse than your shoulder but not as bad as people make it out to be.

it hurts a lot more on the foot because of all the bones and thin skin. its also not comfortable to wear any tight shoes for a couple of days... so stick to flip flops.

at times i found it unbearable, but they past relatively quickly, i would say it is definately the most painful experience of my life thus far.. but well worth it... good luck!
