Your lips say "I forgive," but your heart cries out for vengeance: don't you know that you are mocking God by word and deed and are falling under the verdict of devine justice according to which "God is not mocked"? Come to your senses, people and forgive so that you can boldly say the Our Father or, if you choose not to forgive, know that you are unworthy of this prayer. There is no middle ground.

You are correct. If you cannot forgive others, you'd better not pray the Lord's prayer.

We all sin, we are all granted forgiveness by Jesus. We're human, not mocking God.

You're right when you say forgive. That is the teaching of our Lord. Forgive and love thy neighbor (and your enemies).

I don't repeat rote prayers. If there is anger in my heart, I do what the bible tells me, I bring every thought captive to Christ and ask Him to forgive my resentment and replace it with forgiveness.

There is no shame in doing this; God knows our frame, He knows we are dust. If I were you, I'd think about leading people to the word of God and the grace of God, not scolding them for their unworthiness.

While I disagree with much of Catholic doctrine, I do agree with you that if I am unwilling to forgive someone, I shouldn't expect God to then forgive me. (Matt 18:23-35)

My heart does not cry out for vengeance. Never has. Never will. So I wouldn't know.

WOW! I sure didn't find that in my Bible. I can't disagree more. What about his grace, and forgiveness?

You are obviously caught up in Catholic confusion.
Jesus said praying over set phrases even his was false and only pagans do it...
If you do He says you are pagan...no me..
