No, that is not fair. But it is fair to dismiss a whole religion when you look at the actions of all the people who practice it and they are all hypocritical. And Christianity has such strict laws that they make it impossible for you to obey them all. Also, it is fair to dismiss a religion that does so much to harm - when you see that wars, slavery, crusades, murder, hatred, bigotry, and child abuse have all been carried out in the religions name then it is time to realize that the religion is not for you - maybe the God is the correct God but there are ways to worship that God on your own without congregating with the people that you know who are using God for evil purposes.

*** Mrs. Reggie Bush I find your statement Ironic all three of the Abrahamic faiths are represented by one person. Judaism - Father Abraham, Muslim - Muhammad and Christianity - Jesus Christ

I don't believe any 2 peoples' religion are exactly the same, so I don't think it's fair to dismiss an entire religion based on the actions of someone else.

Is it fair for religions to kill innocent people in the name of their god? Did you know that more people have been killed in the name of god than any other reason. It non-sense and entertaining all at the same time. Hell I love it when two religions start fighting. With any luck they will all kill each other and then the rest of us non-believers can get on with our lives peacefully. Religion is meant to control weak minded people. So when your sitting around watching the lunatics go off to compare clothing be thankful that you are not a weak minded person then turn up the TV cause the game is on!

If Ted Haggard was the only prominent hypocrite in the church, yes, it would be unfair...but the Christian church has had a terrible image problem over the last 25 years, with Jimmy Swaggart, Jim Bakker, Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, William Bennett, Oral Roberts, abuse allegations against priests...it's no wonder the church is viewed with so much suspicion and cynicism right now.

It is not fair to do so. Any person that would view an entire group as bad because of the actions of a few is gravely wrong in their judgement. For example, we can not let Ted Haggard's misconduct sully the world's view of Christians, just as we can not allow terrorists to corrupt our view of Muslims.

Ted Haggard is not God last time I checked so it's safe to say that you shouldn't diss your beliefs and salvation and lifestyle because someone had some Meth and male prostutues. Ted Haggard should have been a better influence.

About as fair as dismissing atheism because of the actions of Stalin or Lenin. Or dismissing all science because the doctor's in Hitler's death camps tortured and killed people in the name of "science".

If I was a christian I'd be pissed off at Ted Haggard for making me look bad....maybe revoke his membership to "the brotherhood" and take away his "God Card."
