depends more on the individual dogs than the breeds...we have had yorkies and bulldogs together, shihtzu and mastiff together, springer spaniel and weimeramer together, dobermans and mutts together, we have also had bulldog and springer that HATED each other, poodles that didn't get along.....

Pugs and goldens are two breeds that pretty non-aggressive toward people and other dogs, so I expect in most cases this should be fine. But it always depends on the individual dogs.

One of my coworkers has a pug and a golden togher but remember ANY two dogs can get along or not get along based on the individuals

The breeds are not what counts, it is just the personalities of the dogs. You won't really know until you put them together.
