I see so much hate here with the bible used as justification.

It has made me extremely cranky and disheartened with the state of religion today.

Please speak up and be counted.

What do you think of the fundies and their attacks on everyone else. ?

Please show me that you are out there, please.

Please remind me that not all Christians choose to remain willfully ignorant and wallow in hate.

I am sorry, I am smiling and I am not judging. I just wonder how many answers you truthfully get from "wonderful intelligent Christians". The same amount that you would get from "wonderful intelligent" people of all religions. I know many re people who answer have " hateful" answers for Christians, and other religions, but here is an opportunity for you to show your love, forginess, understanding and compassion, as Jesus taught.
Ignore sad, fearful answers and just send love and understanding to all. I myself, find it very interesting that there are so many people out there, no matter what religion, who think that they are right and everyone else is wrong. Ignore those that upset you and live your life in a loving way, with forgiveness and non judgement. That is one attribute that we all have, free will.

“If you remain in my word, you are really my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”—John 8:31, 32.

MORE clearly than ever before we see this system of things breaking down. Daily the evidence of its deterioration mounts. One by one the things in which people have put their trust are proving unable to overcome the distressing conditions. The Bible truthfully foretold of our age: “In the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here.” (2 Tim. 3:1) Jesus Christ also truthfully prophesied of our time: “On the earth anguish of nations, not knowing the way out because of the roaring of the sea and its agitation, while men become faint out of fear and expectation of the things coming upon the inhabited earth.”—Luke 21:25, 26.
As a Christian I follow the teachings of the Bible, which be the way does not advocate Hate. God is a God of Love and to him, all people are equal. He is not partial to any particular race, colour or creed. Acts 10: 34.
I understand how you can feel disheartened with religion. Organised religion is not following the Bible standards, it is a case of the Blind leading the Blind, as per Jesus" words to the hypocritical religious leaders of his day.
The time is drawing close when God is going to call to justice these false teachers.

To say that all Christians are ignorant, hateful, etc. is stereotypical. Unfortunately, many "Christians" become overzealous and self-righteous in their religious pursuits and it can come off as being judgmental or even hateful. But if they really are Christians, that should not be their intention because the Bible teaches us not to hate or judge anyone.

I am here presently. Be aware though the scripture and theBible currently in USA are not identical. The extra 'stuff' in the Bible (beyond scripture) is part of the current division in Christianity here; to God's disgust!!!

Intelligent, honest and wonderful christian here...oh and Yoda, I am a republican too.

Let the non-believers attack as it is their God given gift of a free will. They don't bother me. I will continue to pray for the lost, whether they attack me or not.

I consider myself an "intelligent Christian"; I have 3 college degrees and I do not "hate" anyone. I am a follower of Christ. However, I AM a "fundie", as you put it. That means I believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God, that the world was created in 6 literal days about 6,000 years ago, and that Jesus Christ is the only way to get to Heaven.
