We have a double pane window with a big fog spot on in. We need to know if there is anyway to unfog it or does it have to be replaced.

there sealed at the factory, but take it out and look for a small hole in the edge of the window, [outer edge] poke a small phillips screw driver into the sealed hole, and warm the window up, [use a hair dryer] to evaperate the moisture in it, or replace it.

Once the seal has been broken the moisture will just come and go. If that does not bother you, then its not an issue but if it does bother you: replacement of at least the window pane unit itself is the only practical option because with a broken seal the unit itself will "breath" with changes in temp and the moisture will return to re-condense

Have it replaced. Call a local glass company to get a free quote and shop around.

Unfortunately, it sounds like the seal is broken... you could try what the maintence man suggested, but if it doesn't work, replace it. Sorry
