Wearing one contact lens is half as much work as wearing two. :)
Really, if you only need correction for one eye, that's all the more reason to wear contacts. Why put eyeglasses across your face when one of the lenses isn't even needed?
Today's contact lenses are so comfortable, you'll get used to them immediately. Learning to apply and remove the lens will take a bit longer, but it's worth it!

Most people wil have no difficulty, except....
If you've been used to running more or less "one-eyed" it may take a little while to get both to work together smoothly.
Again, it will vary from person to person.
Rarely, I have given a zero-power contact lens in the good eye, when the single lens wasn't settling, to see if *equal* eye sensations were easier to adapt to.
Just occasionally it worked, but usually the cost of a lens in the good eye wasn't justified.
Are you sure you need your second eye brought more into play? Are you missing it for any particular activity or suffering fatigue?
As they say in the acting profession, "What's your motivation?"

Not too bad at all, really. When I had a nodular episcalaria (just look it up), I could only wear one contact. Even with only one eye focusing correct it wasn't really disorienting. Our visual system is designed to compensate for that.
But since both of your eyes will be corrected to reasonable vision, you shouldn't have to worry about it. Wearing just one contact should be barely noticeable.

I wear contacts and after a couple of days it feels much more natural and comfortable, i'm assuming this will be the case for you but in only one eye. So from my experience atleast, after an initial period should be fine.

It should be comfortable, depending on which brand you get. If you feel like its not comfortable then just go back and talk to ur doctor and tell him that you want to try other brands.
