I'm in LA also.

We paid $135 a week for an in-home daycare when my son was 14 months old. There were only 4 kids and that price included lunch and snacks.

We now pay $550 a month for a preschool/daycare that takes 2,3 & 4 year olds. It's decent and they teach some stuff, but it's not stellar. There are about 20-25 kids, split into three classes. They provide light snacks, we provide lunch.

We are moving our son into Montessori, and those run about $650-900. There is one in Culver City that is head and shoulders above the rest, and is $850 a month.

Tutor Time charges about $1100 a month for a child under 2yrs old.... for 5 days a week, up to 10 hrs a day. This includes meals and snacks

The cheapest I have seen is $100 a week (Monday through Friday- potty trained). My cousin is going to be paying $1000 a month for her newborn. Average is more like $175 a week.
