no age isnt a big deal its actually rare to date someone your own age. and to the people who say it illegal. its illegal to have sex. you can spend time with anyone. and it only illegal if you get caught.

No. Sometimes if the younger one is a girl, there are issues with the guy "taking advantage" of her, but not all guys are just out to get some.... When I was a freshman I dated a senior, and I have never found a guy that is more of a gentleman than he was to me.
Age doesn't really matter. A teenager dating another teenager should be fine as long as both have the mental maturity to deal with a relationship in the first place. If not, age still doesn't matter because they shouldn't be dating anyone period.

Things can be so awkward in the teenage years, and there could be so much confusion and easily hurt feelings. I'd be inclined to put a damper on it at this age. However, when the 14 year old reaches 18, that's a different story. As long as they obey the drinking laws, and play safe, I doubt I'd have an issue with it.

it matters some. it may matter in the fact that the 17 year old may be more sexually experienced and may pressure the 14 year old. the maturity level may be different as well. also, the 17 yr old may be graduating and leaving for college after high school and the 14 year old will then be left behind.....
not sure if the 14 yr old's parents will agree either....

As much as we sometimes hate to admit it, there are times when age matters. This happens to be one of them. Sometimes there are good reasons why it is unacceptable, but other times it just doesn't look good. A girl dating an older guy can be perceived as "fast", and that same guy can be perceived as a pervert. I would advise any one that is younger than 20 not to date someone more than 1-2 years older than they are. It opens doors for trouble. Once you are about 25 and have learned and experienced life you can then decide what works for you.

Nope ... Once he turns 18 there will be but if your parents have no objection then no there is no problem.
I met the love of my life when I was your age and he was a lot older but he waited until I was 18 to start a relationship so remember if he's a really good guy he'll be willing to wait til you're ready for everything

No it doesnt matter its only 3 yrs . but u need to go about it the right way make sure he knows how old you are and that he will / could end up going to prison if u end up getting too intermate. Just ask him could he live with not having sex for a few yrs and dont let him pressure you. so i dont think its a big problem as long as u dont do anything sexually. But other people may have a problem with it your parents/his parents and really they are just worried in case u get ''intermate'' at an early age and get pregnant i know u may think it wont happen but it happens a lot more than u think. so just have fun together but no sex

Absolutely not. I dated a 17 year old when i was 14. If you are the younger one in the relationship be sure to not do anything that you aren't ready for. And if you are the older one, do not pressure your partner into doing anything they are not ready for.

No just don't let him pressure you into anything
that's why most parents don't want their daughter to date older boys. But if you think that you can handle the pressure and you are a independant type than I don't see much wrong with it. Just if you do come down form the pressure to have sex or go further than you want to make sure you use a condom

Yes! You are not on the same page when it comes to dating and future sex. The older of the two probably has more experience. Where as the younger of the two doesn't. It would seem like the older of the two would be taking advantage of the younger person.

As a very open minded father of 5 i have to say that even i would have a problem with this...i take it the girl (you ) are only 14...guys in their teens look for younger girls because we males mature slower than you girls...guys his age don't normally go for older girls because they know the older girls have much more experience...it's got a lot to do with ego...so yes as a father i have to say that age does matter
