Wayne that is pretty big age gap. Your friends and hers may not be that comfortable hanging around with either someone that much older and/or younger then they are. Your maturity level and live experiences would be so much greater then hers also. In addition you'd have to consider how this may affect your relationship with your mate. Probability of this becoming a long term and meaningful relationship are long shots so how are you and he going to get along after you and her have ended the relationship. Especially if she starts to bad mouth you or the reverse if things do go sour, it may not be pretty.

Ask your friend. If he doesn't care then go for it. All though 18-25 that's fresh from high school compared to college grad a lot of changes happen in that time frame. If your at the same maturity level as an 18 yr. old.....more power to you.

If you get on well and she is grown up for her age then there is nothing wrong with it. I am 26 and my boyfriend is 19, I dont see there being an age difference, we get on great and he is amazingly supportive of me!!
The first person you need to speak to is you mate though, dont let him think that you two were sneaking about behind his back. Explain that you arent using his sister and hopefully he will be fine with it. Remember if he isnt he is probably just worried about what would happen if it didnt work out.
Good luck

Don't see what's wrong with that, when I was 18 I went out with guys about 23, us girls can be more mature so we need guy's to be a few years older. Also she's classed as an adult, if she was 16 then it would be questionable but 18 is alright.

Why? 18 year old girls do prefer to date with men around your age, as guys around 18 - 20 are much to immature for a 18 year old woman.
Relax and have a good time!!

Not cause she's 18, that's cool. But her being ur mates sis, that if things dont go well between you then get wierd it could put a real strain on you and your mates relationship.

It depends on the girl and what her experience is. If she is worldly wise and stuff then yes. If not, providing you don't try and push her to be sexually active before she is totally ready it should be OK.
Please bear in mind she is a fair bit younger than you ( the gap shortens as you get older).
Also, as said in a previous answer, her big bro may have an entirely different slant on it so beware!
Good luck.

No not at all. Age shouldn't really matter but everyones got different opinions and it's to do with personal preference. I was dating a guy that was 9 years older. And my childs father is 5 years older than me.

Depends on your respective maturity levels. You referred to her as a girl. If you think of yourself as a man, it ain't gonna work. But if you are still in your lad stage, it might have a chance. The more important question is how will your mate react to you hitting on his kid sister?

There is an age difference but it ain't massive, and it isn't unknown. She's of a legal age after all (UK newho) and what is most important is that you are mentally at the same level, if your both into each other... and your mate dosen't mind... go for it
