Tanju: No I do not believe that NATO is what it was envisioned to be. Much like the league of Nations prior to World War ll it is a bureaucratic relic. BTW I don't believe in the Easter bunny either.

All right...

I had enough.

The realist and alana, you dont know nothing.

I live in the war zone -Iraqi border- while you are having your coffee's in the United States and talking your nonsense, our young soldiers- both Turkish or Kurdish origin- may even be Armenian origin- are dying everyday for the past 20 years because of PKK- Btw, it is an recognised terriorist group like ASALA - but you are so heartless that you don't even care for it. So tell me ; why would we care about Armenians who died DURING A WAR 90 something years ago after they betrayed the country they were living in?

Mount Ağrı being Armenian?? LOL.. Go, fool Americans who don't know about this country's geography but don't try it on us. It was yours thousand years ago.. We took it from you so deal with it.

Aren't you ashamed of yourselves? Run -aways to USA? Come back and live in Armenia , then tell me your thoughts about your opinions reading YOUR (!!!!) USA trying to invade Iraq and killing civilians for oil!.

You would be shocked if you learn how much I have the right to talk on behalf of Americans but I wont give you that opportunty. Since the realist have my "number", I dare her to find out and tell it in public!! This is an open arena and I am here !! Lets see the best of you!!

Stop making yourselves as fun materials here.. Your ignorance is disgusting me!. Learn about the rest of the word for God's sake!

BTW, Alana, you cant even scare a child with your ridiculus bits and pieces of knowledge - Al- Queda being Turkish origined? LoL!!! and what was that about Chinese???. :D

Your sad attempts of making disgusting pictures of us and cloning our 360 pages is only going to cause you more trouble.. Beware...............

I am sorry Asker but I can not tolerate this pitiful behaviour any more, therefore I used your question to say a few words..

In this context, let me tell you that Nato is not playing by the rules -you can check from the rules and regulations of the organisation - but it is not the problem. We have a very strong Army and the problem is going to be solved by us in due course.

I believe those (mentioned) Britons,Germans and Russians are NATURALIZED citizens.(ethnic kurds) I can't imagine a Britt or a German holding a machine gun among bunch of dirty, hairy, smelly, chimpanzees trying to defend pkk lol that would be HILARIOUS. On the other hand, lets say yes they are 100% citizen of those countries (Great Britain,Germany and Russia) still we can't blame it on the whole SOCIETY, whole COUNTRY. That is their choice whatever they want to but they will be more than sorry when they get shot behind by a pkk terrorist. And that's the Truth pkk is a back stabber.

Deserve help? Well, yes, but let´s face facts. Actually eliminating the PKK threat would inevitably result in a more stabil and independant Turkish nation. This is a nice goal if you live in Turkey, but not if you are a NATO leader, who fears that a too strong Turkey will no longer bow to their every wish and stop playing the role of a friendly buffer-state to the Middle East. So now that Turkish politics are actually becoming less scandalous and its economy actually moving forward, helping them fight PKK just might put Turkey in a position to decide for themselves who they would like to be "friends" with.
Therefore, no help from NATO.
Just my own opinion.

(Anlarm - I like your answer! Thumbs up from me)

Isn't Turkey tired of the PKK yet! Settle your problems with the Kurds they want equal rights give it to them. How many people have to die before the Turkish Government gets a clue.

International politics, as I have seen lately to my dismay, isn't about what is just. It's about what benefits whom.

PKK terrorism, Iraqi invasion, Bosnian genocide, Darfur genocide... All could have been stopped, or even better, wouldn't have happened, if their occurance didn't help somebody in the wider political game of the "powers".

When it comes to benefit, those "powers" aren't interested in the survival of the individual. That's why we should subvert their ugly games by seeing through it and not falling for it.

Yes, on paper Turkey deserves it.
A small explanation for Realist. As you and we all know quite well, the invasion of Iraq was not justified. There were no weapons of mass destruction. Saddam's being a dictator was not a justifiable reason to invade Iraq (what about Saudi Arabia? Is that a democracy?). Usame bin Ladin was not in Iraq. The US army invaded Iraq for petrol only. Everybody knows that. Why would Turkey help US to invade a neighbor?
Turkey did help in the past by sending troops to die in Korea, just because USA said so (don't tell me it was a UN decision. The USSR delegate went out of the meeting in a fury and they passed the resolution before he returned). It was a US/Nato war in Korea under the UN umbrella.
Turkey also maintained the largest army (after USA) against the USSR. The Turkish army was defending the 'free world' against 'communism'. But then it became publicly known that in case of a tactical Soviet attack, the US was ready to let more than half of Turkey to be invaded and then (perhaps) retaliate with a tactical nuclear weapon. Is this how a NATO ally behaves?
Turkish soldiers shed enough blood saving the valuable bottoms of US soldiers in Korea (Kunuri-where the US general decided to surrender but the Turkish colonel ordered a bayonet attack and pushed back the Chinese army, leaving hundreds of Turkish troops dead there).
Now, PKK, a terrorist organization is using its bases in US controlled northern Iraq and attacking Turkey. They are using US Army weapons and equipment. There are even rumors that they now own US tanks!
I suggest you learn your lesson well before criticising.
I wish your soldiers a safe return home from Iraq.

edit: only 3 answers besides mine and I got 2 thumbsdown. interesting.

We don't need any help of NATO.

Most of NATO members are still feeding the pkk.

My enemies are not only pkk.

I advice them to read our history again. If we get angry no one can stand on us.

AND WE ARE ANGRY NOW .
