I was told that one of the very best internationaly recognised German courses was run by the Goethe-Institute.

I have seen their website and the courses look very good. I only have two questions therefore in regards to the courses...

I live a distance away from London and Manchester, is it still possible to study and gain my certificate with them (learning from home so to speak) ??

and secondly --

How much do the courses cost? I found no prices on the website.....

Please help me with this one, thanks.

All the information is there - look in the Goethe Institut in London for info on 'extensive' courses. There is also a section on distance learning - with a webshop. The prices are there as well as other details.

I've studied German there and a few other places. Honestly, its good, but the other answers your question skip over the fact that you don't need to study there to take their exams. {you can see the fees here: http://www.goethe.de/ins/gb/lon/lrn/prf/zdt/enindex.htm]

There are other good places to learn German, and any colleges will teach German courses that prepare students for the Goethe exams.

Furthermore, other exams in German are also good. Unless you want to study in Germany, do consider other options, like GCSEs and the excellent Open University courses.

Mary Mouse is right.
If in doubt just send them an email or call them - I am sure they'll be glad to give you all the information needed (and also prices in GBP)

Here's the link to their GB portal:

(guess you have it anyway)
