India is far but Turkey is as European as Lebanon. Why Lebanon wouldn't join the EU also ? and then Syria and Egypt.

the European political leaders were quite aware why and how Turkey should be a member to EU when they started signing "partnership" agreements with aim of full accession, back in 1960...

but some cucumbers weren't even a seed back then..

As a retired pilot, your geography knowledge is horrible. There is just one think I want to tell :
Where is Cyprus? I do not think it is geographically a part of Europe.
