So many people , here and other places say that God cannot exist because if He did, bad things would not happen- would love to hear some testimonies about God in the midst of problems.
I have a chronic illness that causes pain every day. My hubby has health issues as well and is perm. disabled due to injuries. Other personal problems as well, but I can say without a shadow of a doubt- THAT GOD'S GRACE IS SUFFICIENT!! He is great, even when life isn't.

I rely on God in times of trouble as well as good times. I have had a few illnesses that cause significant pain and disability. I once was in a kind of darkness, not because of sin, but because of what the one illness did-it affected my mind. God delivered me from that and most of those symptoms have disappeared or rarely show up. God brought me back into the light.
I have come to understand that I would rather not be cured and live my whole life with debilitating symptoms and be in a right relationship with God then to be cured and separated from Him for all eternity.

It doesn't matter so much what happens to me as long as I have God on my side to get me through. Besides, Jesus suffered and died more horribly than anyone else. If He could go through such horrendous suffering, then surely I can go through something much less in comparison with what He went through.

Suffering isn't always a bad thing. It's like pain being one's best friend. Like if you put your foot in hot water, you feel a jolt of pain and immediately take your foot out so that your foot won't be burned. Or you feel pain somewhere signaling something is wrong and needs to be taken care of so that whatever is wrong won't continue to cause you to have worsening problems without being taken care of and make yourself sicker than necessary. There is also a very rare disease that affects children where they can't feel any pain (I think it has something to do with their nerves) and that usually causes them to die young because they would have something wrong with them and not know it.
I just think of if someone has the easiest life on earth, what will they learn? what compassion or understanding will they have for those who are suffering? what humility and reliance on God will they have?
In 2 Corinthians 11 and 12, Paul speaks about his sufferings. In verses 7-10 of chapter 12 says:
"To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
But God be thanked that one day, those who belong to Him will be delivered from their suffering and won't have to suffer anymore. Granted, we all need to do what we can to help and take care of those who are suffering around us as well as ourselves.

That's what I call faith! You're holding onto your faith in Him in the midst of the pain and trials!! Good job!! Keep it up! Many have walked away when the heat was turned up just like Jesus said they would in the parable of the sower. Remember the rocky ground? Those were the ones that left when things got hard. They didn't perservere. No perserverance = no crop production. The heat doesn't last forever but the fruit will! (See 2 Cor. 4:16 -18)

Sometimes God allows pain and troubles in our lives for a season for growth. He, in His infinite wisdom and love will take those troubles and bring good things out of them. People want a painless perfection and growth and when they don't get it they resort to calling God bad and slandering His character and cursing His name. That's what the whole point of Job's trials was about! Satan did all those things to Job to try and get him to slander God but he never did. Honoring God's name is worth it all!

OMG Girl! It was Lord God and my best friend Jesus who got me through the very worst things that could happen to a human being.

I was a to the hilt-guns a blazin'-full tilt boogy alcoholic for 38 years. I should not have survived. I've been sober 16 years now.

There's Manic Depression. Then there's Bi-Polar. But the most worst of all is Severe Bi-Polar Disorder. I have that one! Every day God helps me with these things.

And you know what? I certainly don't deserve it! He just loves me worts, faults and all.

You tell these unbelievers that God doesn't cause pain or suffering. These are simply things of nature and nothing else. Tell them to stop displacing their anger and surch for the real sorce. Did God make all those people live in a city that was built 6' lower than sea level? Of course not. Does God make all those people in Ethiopia starve to death? Of course not. It is well known that this planet has far more than enough food to feed everybody. Is God making us eat foods that are contaminated with growth hormones, pest chemicals, shoddy farming practices. Of course not.

We do all of these things to ourselves. God will inded help us through but he is not going to do magic tricks for us. The hard part for us is to learn to truely have a real faith and to trust.

You MUST reach a point that even if God decides to call you home today you will still have faith and you will trust his decision. And you will still love him.

Plus there's this little bit to consider. Don't ever forget that Mr. Satan is a very busy guy!

God Bless You and Shalom

Tommy

I am so sorry to hear about your illnesses Adore Him. Indeed, God's grace is sufficient. He will strengthen you as you face life's storms. He will never leave you alone. Jesus knows how you feel. He has heard your cry and seen your tears. He has felt your pain. The songwriter says "I won't complain". A better day is coming. One of these days we shall be in a better place where there will be no sickness, pain and death. We shall run and never get tired. Walk and not faint.

Be encouraged, and be strong for each other.

God loves you.

God is called Love which is based on the letter V and letter Y because reading a V cut in 3 is is \.V(pronounced LOVE) and reading a Y cut in 3 is l.V

thus the say V and Y both glorify god who is love, they say.

i say V also equal \V/ sealed together (ie a V cut in three peices)
the Y is a I IV sealed together when you cut 3 and read up from the bottum.
this means God who is V and Y is I IV sealed togther and/or \ /V sealed togther and they refer to roman numerals.
Thus the M is also glorifying God because the \ / V sealed together is a I IV sealed together when you turn over the rist they are on. thus M and W also glorify God in keeping with scripture that says all things to glorify Lord God. the b and p when written in block type letters also glorify Lord God because the IV=IIII thus the M=IVI sealed together=IIII I look like the b which is a DI sealed together. a q also read upside down looks like a DI sealed together.
the L when cut in 3 spells l.L(the L on its side is a V) thus they thought God was love based on the l.V
however LOVE with a times new roman font L contains the message LiT .n u V [iL(pronounced seal) and the V is a \V/ sealed together which appears like a IIII I.
so since i bear those marks Guess i am equal to LOVE with the V [iL.
so
V and T both glorify God because both are "a form of .I7 mixed up and sealed together" which is what God is or could be. a Stevens.n is a .seventeen mixed up and sealed together if you make an S out of two e's.
thats My ancentral family name.
so you all have my grace since i am not interested in becoming a murderer. sucks for some of you since i hear many pray for God to take their lives.

numerologically

enemies of the god=police=hells angels=don=false god
freinds of the god=good people

so who do you allow to be the authorities in your lives? in the underworld isn't it the hells angels? in the overworld, i guess its the police. So don't blame God for your problems you allow God's enemies to rule so don;t complain when bad things happen.

my numbers and statements are based on
good people translated to numbers equals;

7+1+...
51
5+1
6
6=f

Police=161512935=33=6=f

Praise God for His mercy and grace, I could not live one day without Him, nor would I want to. He has given such peace that is undescribable in the middle of some tough battles. No matter what comes God is in control. I love Him with all my heart, soul, and mind!! Glory!!

Praise God. What a testimony. I live in a country where many suffer daily from poverty and pain. I can say though you can see it on the faces of those who share your testimony. "God's Grace is Sufficient for me." When you really believe that, and it isn't just words you say and force the smile on your face, it shows. Life here on Earth is temporal but God is for eternity. What you have no one can take away. Bless you.

AMEN! God's Grace is ABSOLUTELY sufficient!
God has brought me through many trials that I thought would be the end of me. But it has always been for His glory and my spiritual growth.
He has never failed me yet, in 29 years of following Him.

Job was a righteous man in whom no fault could be found by Satan. Satan was sure it was because God had blessed him, but as he discovered, Job was faithful to God through the blessings and the trials (which are often blessings in disguise ;) And Job even said one of my favorite Bible quotes:

"Though He slay me, yet I will trust Him."

Amen!!

My personal experience is that tribulation happens to the righteous
not matter what they do or believe
However, the grace of God intervenes between the weight of oppression according to our faith and felicity.

with Grace burdens are lighter and easier to manage.
When God steps aside just a little burdens are felt more heavily.
