why is there no account of this in the bible? i mean, for someone who supposed could walk on water, and apparently omniscient, you'd think there would have been some story about jesus coming out of the womb being able to walk and talk, but there's nothing. he was born and learned to walk and talk at what i can only assume was a normal rate. why? if someone could do something as miraculous as raising people from the dead, you'd think they could at least learn to walk and talk early. but even the idea of having to learn anything would be a contradiction to jesus being god. if you're omniscient, then you already know everything, including how to walk and talk. can anyone explain why he didn't?

The Doctrine of the Incarnation points out that Jesus was indeed God, but also human at the same time. To experience the human side of life fully, He expereinced the normal growing pains that all of us go through. There is not a lot said in the Bible of Him as a young man, except that it does say in more than once place in the Gospels, that Jesus grew in stature and wisdom daily. It also mentions that He experienced human emotions, such as love, sorrow, amazement, and even anger. The best way for God to explain who He is to us allowing part of His person to become flesh. In John 1:1 Jesus is called "The Word." So in essence, he was speaking from the day of His birth, He came to tell us what God is like.

God sent Jesus as a human, hence "Son of Man"...so that He (JC) could have all the 5 senses, and live as a human. God in the flesh, so to speak. How do we know He didn't learn to walk and talk early? when He was 12, He was preaching in the temple "going about (His) Father's work"; to which all the people in the temple were amazed at His knowledge.

I guess you could say that ol' Adam and Eve were way ahead of the miracle game on the being born deal. They got borned full grown and full of spit. Adam got to have Eve born out of his side. You could say he had her both ways. First man to give birth, and the most stunning one yet. He was a virgin too, don't forget, and he was sinless,, better than Mary!
I think Elisha won the contest hands down on miraculous going outs. He never died. He was swooped up in some fabulous chariot of fire, complete with horses, and whooshed away to the heavens. Very impressive!
If miracles make the man, Adam and Elisha are the two greatest. They get my vote.

Jesus was a child born to man. That means he lived a life the same as any other man. He was able to empatyise because he understood man.

There are accounts of Jesus talking immediately after birth. Even the Bible editors that this was too ridiculous to include.

I've figured it out, your condescending is what masks your obvious feelings of insecurity on the matter. It's not an excuse for a post like that. If in any way I though you seriously wanted an answer or an intellegent debat, I'd try to answer it. But, you are a sad little man who has already made up his own mind. Grow up.

sure, any account if his childhood is mythcial. They had no idea who he would be so nobody paid attention.
It's the same with most major religious figures. We have one or two stories from their childhood to make a particular point, and then much more detail about their adulthood.
Jesus
Buddha
Mohammed
etc...
