EVERYTHING!!!
The falsely Claim they gave us the books of the Bible, they claim they chose the books. They claimed the "Protected the Books".
This was the reason why Jesus Chose more then 1 apostle, That is how the books were protected by going into distribution, not by an organization that was created by man much later. 300 AD.
Is anyone tired of the Catholics claiming everything, just by word of mouth, with no proof?
ON the other hand, True Born-again Chrisitans only humbly claim the Bible is the Word of God, and that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior and Teach others what the Bible says and point them to it.
DO YOU SEE THE DICHOTOMY HERE?

You are correct in all points. Jews gave us the Bible, not catholics.
Catholics added books that don't belong there. Catholics killed anyone found with a Bible. And catholics have a false gospel of works that leads to eternal hell.
Catholics are not saved Christians.

Uhm buddy. I'm an Atheist, but I am also a historian... and sorry to bust your bubble but the Catholics aren't making anything up. You do know that until the Protestant reformation the only Christians were catholics. So the Catholics were the only ones who really would protect the books of the bible. Of course I don't want to melt your brain by mentioning that the Muslims actually had a good deal to do with preserving the bible. Also I would like to add that as an Atheist i find Catholics to be much more tolerable then you born again types. So no I don't see the dichotomy and I'm not sure you even know what that word means.

You are all totally missing the point!
Why did God send His son to come to earth as the ultimate sacrifice? so we could live without shame and guilt of our sins!!!!!
In "Bible Times" people had to give a living sacrifice for every sin and so God sent Jesus so we no longer had to do this and we could just come to him with a sincere heart.
I am neither a Catholic or a Protestant. I am however a Christian, of no particular denomination who lives to please God and to try to spread the news of his dying and rising again.
Again, are we not ALL called to be like Jesus... humble and meek.
I have nothing against "Catholics" or "protestants" but I do think that everyone who has posted arrogantly here need to have a look at your faith and ask what it's all about

Funny, all the "true born-again christians" I've met try to tell me that the bible, written a couple hundred years AFTER the events it portrays, is the infallible word of God, and that the beliefs I choose to espouse, while similar in content, are in error because they are NOT from the Bible. I find it all over-bearing, condescending and presumptuous to think that their's is the one, true and ONLY way. I choose how I wish to honor the Powers That Be and in a manner that leaves me content in my soul. After all, isn't that what religion is supposed to do?

We are required to tell the truth by our faith.
Christ created only one Church which is the Catholic Church. the Catholic Church maintains a direct lineage of leadership from those apostles called apostolic succession. Christ made promises to His Church that the gates of hell would not prevail and that the enduring Church is the "bulwark and ground of the truth".
The Church was given the authority to write and authorize writings that the Church decided were inspired under the sole authority given by Christ which states that the Church has the power to "bind and to loose". It is the Church who can choose Scriptures and none other and the Church did so in the African Synods in the late fourth and early fifth century. the Church began at Pentecost and not in 300 as you claim as is recorded in Scriptures. All of these things are recorded in Scriptures and in the historical writings of the fathers.
So, those claiming to be the "True Born-Again Christians" have no theological nor historical leg to stand on as they are just modernist man made churches with absolutely no authority from Christ yet they actually condensed their version of the Bible which in itself is against its teaching. May the Lord have mercy on them.
In Christ
Fr. Joseph
