No, go ahead and call mom and get back to the ortho to have your bracket mounted back on. It is completely normal to break brackets off in the beginning. If you do not take care of it immediately you will end up wearing your braces longer.
Mom will probably get a little upset but she will get over it - I did.

Have you had starburst or anything really chewy? that pulls my wires right off. Tell your mom, maybe the ortho guy didnt do a good job. You want to make sure your mouth comes out right in the end. Oh yeah and in a day or two the brackets might rub against you gums and that kinda hurts. Orajel is a miracle worker!

It's not your fault the bracket came off...maybe it wasn't on correctly in the first place. Don't worry...Mom will be happier if you tell her now than if you don't say anything and your braces get screwed up....Braces are really expensive and a replacement bracket should be covered at no cost!

call mom, explain to her that the glue may not have been dried well enough, and she will understand. Then, go to ortho. It will only take like 5-10 minutes for them to put it back on. but save the bracket. they may be able to put it back on.

Please call your mom. She will help you! You should always feel that your mom is there to help you without getting mad!
If she DOES get mad when she speaks with a dentist and he tells her it is common, she will get over being mad.
