It depends on:
A) Size of the aircraft
B) What the airline decided to install as seats (i.e. The old National Airlines had 175 seats in a 757-200, American has 188)
Here's the rest of the stupid questions to go with this one:
Why do kamakazi's wear helmets?
How much does a pilot make?
How high can an airplane (non specific) go?
Why isn't an airplane made of the same stuff the black boxes is?
