It depends what sort of beer you like but my favourites include Harviestoun's Indian Summer and their citrussy Bitter & Twisted (light beers from Scotland), Crouch Vale's Brewers Gold (Essex), Millstone's True Grit (a blond/golden beer from Manchester) and Phoenix' Rip Rap (from Surrey). These are all quite light refreshing beers - if you like something darker/heavier try a nice chocolate stout or something like Snecklifter (from Jennings in Cumbria - we had a skinful of this last Saturday and it went down VERY well on a cold night). Enjoy!

Oldham Brewery bitter made at their premises on Coldhurst St Oldham. They were then taken over by Boddingtons of Strangeways Brewery,Manchester and the taste remained the same. Boddingtons bitter (Boddies) was made at the same brewery but sadly it has now been closed down by its new owners Interbrew and is made somewhere down south. Glad I now live in Newccy Brown land now.
