I always feel the same way the day after a marathon...I wonder why??

Actually, the best recommendation I could make for you, would be to get a split night polysomnogram. Have a sleep disorders specialist review the study. There are several issues possible, including, restless leg syndrome, sleep apnea, fibromyalgia, circulatory or metabolic disorder, and electrolyte imbalance. See you GP, get some standard test, and move on to a referral for sleep testing.

good luck.

otherwise, stop running marathons!

I feel the exact same way. I can only attritbute it to not enough water, not enough vitamins and not enough stretching. Are you exercising? If you are and you are not stretching, this could be a huge cause! Try some yoga. Also, you might have a crappy mattress. Spend a few bucks and get a quality mattress. That was an immediate improvement for me! :) Good luck!

Amongst other reasons: bad mattress, dehydration, lack of magnesium, sleep apnea or other disturbances in the quality of sleep, fibromyalgia, inflammation on your back... You should really consult a doctor about it, if it happens all the time.
