Hi,

Some say it's the Maine Coon while others who have owned both insist it's the Rag Doll. The one thing Rag Dolls have over Main Coons is their loving and devoted personality and the way they go limp in your arms when you pick them up (total trust).

However, Siamese cats can be exceedingly intelligent. I've had a few. Bengals and Savannas rank right up there but can be just a touch independent.

It just so happens that as I write this I am looking for another Rag Doll. My last one, Mitsie, was the best cat I have ever owned.

Bye!

The smartest cat I have had was a maine coon. She was smart. I have a fluffy gray shelter cat that we had to enroll in the local special ed. school (lol), but she is so sweet, though dumb as a post. And I have a ragdoll who I suppose I could call smart, but devious might be the better word! He's the best. I have a tuxedo who I think his mother was siamese, and he is nothing but cautious, so I guess that's pretty smart.

save him interior until eventually the climate gets extra useful and it is heat out (like 60+). in case you have a warmth lamp (or purchase one, they don't look to be a bad investment) turn it on for him so he can get heat decrease than it. so a ways as giving meds, communicate over with a vet. i replaced into gazing a cat that confirmed the comparable indications plus vomiting and diarrhea , besides the actuality that it replaced into an indoor cat, seems it replaced into not something extra suitable than an air bubble in it is tummy. easily, an x-ray should not be too high priced. The invoice we've been given replaced into for $one hundred twenty five, yet that replaced into the x-ray $40, plus an familiar wellbeing examination (temp., sparkling ears, sturdy eyes, etc). besides the actuality that cats do sleep plenty. i've got faith as much as sixteen-18 hours an afternoon and that they are nocturnal. wish I helped!

I have a norwegian forest cat, and boy is he crafty.. He is a little bit too smart for his own good, though. He is a bad influence on all the other cats in my neighborhood. For instance, he showed the neighbor cat(rather shy) how to get on to his roof. :/
One time he was attacked by a rather large dog, and instead of running, like most cats would, he turned around and jumped on the dog and scratched his face until there waas blood everywhere. If he would have ran then the dog would have instantly grabbed him up by the neck, surely killing him.

The regular ol tabby cat I adopted from the humane society is a very smart and industrious cat. I don't think breed matters much.

All animals are smart. Even cats.
My 3 are all indoor cats, now the only time they come out in garden with me is when i put them on a harness and lead.
I can go to any of my Kitchen draws (they all sound the same.) But i bet you any money soon as i open the draw their leads are in, they mewing o/side the kitchen door (they are not allowed in Kitchen.) waiting and mewing like mad to go out. Now work that 1 out.!! any other draw and they dont budge/wake up ect. But that draw, they up like a shot.

I don't think breed has anything to do with it... I think cats are just smart by nature.

some cats can be totally stupid sometimes!
Cats arn't human and because of folk law and myth we expect them to be supernatural.
Cats are animals and we love them and grieve when they die.
We are guilty of humanising them.
and they sense our pain.
a smart cat is one that avoids humans
I have 5 stupid cats
