I'd say they're about equally pointless.
God's just imaginary, and the Christian, by and large, is beyond reasoning with...

It's perfectly O.K. to talk/argue with God--He's there, He cares, He's listening. He knows what's on your heart, but He's also always right, so be prepared to accept an answer that may not feel so good at the time, but comes out O.K. later on. As for Christians, some know and some know better. Go ahead and argue with them, but do some listening, too. They mean you well, even if, at times, it seems they are "wrong". They don't wake up trying to mess with people- look at their example. Are they good people, honest, caring, or are they selling drugs and breaking the law? See what the Bible has to say.about life in general and see how your life fits in. Best to you.

You can pray to God and lay it all out on the table. He answers in His time.
Arguing with a Christian- it depends what type a person that Christian is. We are all DIFFERENT.

An argument requires at least two sides with each side participating. Why would you think that God would actually participate in an argument? God is perfect and always right.
Now, why argue at all? It's not ok to argue. It's ok to disagree and discuss and work things out. Arguments are things we need to apologize for afterwards!

When you argue with a Christian, aren't you essentially arguing with God? If a Christian believes the words of God, and you argue with that, then you are, in fact, arguing with God Himself.

Well, you can argue with God all you want to, but in the end, I'll bet money on who wins. As for arguing with Christians, it doesn't pay to argue with anyone. It doesn't solve anything, and often it turns people away from your subject rather than drawing them TO it. The Bible says a mild answer turns away wrath, and it's true. You can win more flies with honey than with vinegar, my mom always said!

You NEVER argue with God.
It's not OK.
He may let you know about that one day.
As for arguing with Christians,
we are people to, and not stepping stones
to be walked on.
I don't argue, but some may when they
feel their rights have been violated.
Never argue about Religion.

I am in agreement with what one religious philosopher once said (sorry, I can't remember his name). He said that God will answer any honest question, but the rebellious question God ignores.
I'm not as wise as God, so I end up trying to answer skeptics, scoffers, and other such atheists and agnostics.
I would prefer honest question from people wanting answers, but I STILL try to answer the "straw men" that some people build up in the vain imagination of their heart.
Yours, I think, is a good question. Thank you for asking.
Additional thought: In the Bible, God says, "Come now, let us reason together."

Arguing, debating, etc are perfectly acceptable things to do, whether with God, or with other Christians, or even non-Christians. However, the key is to be respectful to all parties involved.

Deep in your heart of hearts, you know what the right thing is. If you fail to do it, you are not following God's will. So arguing is pointless. You must do the right thing.
