The word "rapture" is not in the Bible and the concept is not taught there either.
Some say that it is in 1 Thess 4:15-18.
It is funny that they say that the rapture is an event where people will just disappear, and those "left behind" will not know what happened. They describe this as a "secret coming of Christ", but 1 Thes:4 16, and the other verses they use, describe the Lord coming "with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God"
This does not sound like a secret, quiet event!
This verse is speaking of the second coming of Christ at the end of the world, not a rapture! After this coming of Christ, there will be no Earth remaining for anyone to be left behind on! (2 Peter 3:10)
The “rapture” theory is partly based on a misuse of Matthew 24, especially verses 40-41, but notice closely this chapter.
In verse 3, more than one question is asked. The first question, "When will these things be?" is answered in verses 4-35.
"These things" refers to the things they had been discussing, the destruction of the temple, the destruction of Jerusalem. This was to take place before that generation passed away! (verse 34) This happened in 70 AD.
From 36 onward talks about the coming of Christ. Notice the change from "those days" in the previous verses to "that day" in verse 36 and following.
This is the answer to the last question in verse 3. "what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
This passage clearly says there would be no "signs" before this event!
Notice it will be just like the coming of the flood in Noah's time. Normal life continued until the flood.
Verses 37-39 say, "But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be."
But, back to your question, notice these verses closely! The flood "took them all away" and the coming of the Lord will be like this event!
But, in the flood, who was taken away and who was left?
The evil were taken, and Noah's family were left to begin life again on Earth.
When the Lord comes, therefore, the evil will be taken away. In fact, the next chapter has the Lord telling the evil, "Depart from me!" (Matthew 25:41) They will be gathered up like weeds and thrown into the fire! (Matthew 13:40)
Those left behind will be left with the Lord (in the place where He has come)! They will be left with Jesus! This is the opposite of what the rapture teaches!
Also, they will not be left on Earth because the earth will be destroyed! 2 Peter 3:10 says, “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”
Read Matthew 24 slowly and carefully!
I want to be left with the Lord! I don't want to be like the evil in the days of Noah who were taken away! Those taken away when the Lord comes will be sent to eternal punishment. "So shall the coming of the son of man be!"
Jesus is king NOW! He reigns on his throne NOW!
There will be no rapture followed by a thousand year reign on Earth. When Jesus returns, the heavens and Earth will be destroyed!

Yes, Jesus Christ will come to earth again. This will also be the time in which Christ will touch base with planet earth. His foot will touch the Mount of Olives, which shall split from north to south ( Zechariah 14:3-5). Seismologists have found a fault running east and west precisely through the center, ready to divide when Jesus touches it. Zechariah predicted this 2,500 years ago.
This will occur after the tribulation period. This is the seven year period when the Antichrist will rule. Everybody at that time will be forced to take the Mark of the Beast (Revelation13:18). However those that are caught up in the rapture will not endure this kind of humiliation. The Rapture (Latin) occurs in 1 Thessalonians 4: 17 and 1 Corinthians 15: 52. Please be prepared for this event. All that believe that Jesus is the Messiah will be caught up.
Why will Jesus come back to earth? Jesus said because the Tribulation will be so horrendous, He will have to return: " And except those day are shortened, there should no flesh be saved ; but for the elect sake those day shall be shortened. "
When will this take place ? In the middle of the battle of Armageddon, when the Antichrist will lead his forces against Israel. Christ will come to earth on a white horse:... "and the armies that were with Him followed Him (Revelation 19: 11-14). They will defeat the Antichrist and his hoardes. During this time, he will rule with a rod of iron. Revelation19:15. Christ will rule for a thousand years during His Millennial reign. During this time, Satan will be bound for 1000 years and there will be peace on earth.
When Christ said that his Kingdom was not of this earth, He meant
a different order from this world. What has happened is that man was given authority over the earth in Genesis. But because man sinned Satan upsurped his authority. Christ came to restore all to us that was lost.

"Rapture", when used in eschatological terms, is an English word used in place of the Latin word raeptius; taken from the Vulgate, which in turn is a translation of the Koine Greek word harpazo, which is found in the Greek New Testament manuscripts of 1 Thessalonians 4:17.
"Harpazo" \har-pad'-zo\ Koine Greek; "forcibly snatched away", "taken for oneself".
In the translated Bible, it doesn't say rapture.
The Bible did mention that one will be taken and the other will be left in the blink of an eye. To describe it is the most bizarre thing, therefore the word "rapture" make a good description of what is happening.

What Bible do you read?
"When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will SIT ON THE THRONE OF HIS GLORY." Mt. 25:31
"Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb (Jesus) standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and fory-four thousand, having His Father's name written on their foreheads."
Rev. 14:1
"Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He (Jesus) who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called the WORD OF GOD.And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.
Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS."
Rev. 1911-16--This is a description of Jesus coming back on a white horse, with all the resurrected saints with Him.
After Jesus defeats satan, he is bound for a thousand years. While satan is bound, Jesus will set up His kingdom on earth and reign for that thousand years.
"and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things, he must be released for a little while. And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the Word of God, who had not worshipped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. AND THEY LIVED AND REIGNED WITH CHRIST FOR A THOUSAND YEARS. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, AND SHALL REIGN WITH HIM A THOUSAND YEARS. Now when the thousand years have expired, satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea." Rev.20:3-8

read revelation 20 you have missed a large part of the end times prophecy. TRue the word rapture is not in the bible but its spoke about by Christ, Daniel, and Isaiah to name a few. THere are multiple concepts in the bible that are prophetic in nature and the term the church uses to describe them is truly obsolete.
Revelation 20
1And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
4And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
7And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
10And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
11And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
