1 has pretty much closed. 1 still has a hole where the tooth was...I think I can see the clot. All seems to be well. I am terrified of dry socket though. it has been 4 days now. And also... does anyone know how long it will take the hole to close? Any answers would be appreciated. I am a wimp when it comes to mouth pain! I just want to know when I can start breathing easy again.

Yes, you're probably ok. If they were on the top generally you don't get dry sockets, they are more common on the bottom. Did they put sutures in? That also helps prevent dry sockets. What causes dry sockets is when the blood clot comes out and that is usually caused by sucking like drinking from a straw or smoking which is why they tell you not to do that. You can always rinse (lightly) with a little warm salt water to help promote healing, but it sounds like you will be ok, but call your dentist if you are still uncomfortable. Good healing!

IF IT'S BEEN 4 DAYS W/O A DRY SOCKET, DON'T WORRY YOU WON'T GET IT.
MOST OCCUR IN THE FIRST 24-48 HOURS POST EXTRACTION.
