It could be. I'm not sure if either one is listed in Webster's dictionary, though ;-)

Webster's lists the suffix -ist as "denote[s] a person who practices or is concerned with something, or holds certain principles, doctrines, etc"
Simply put, if they were words, an evolutionist would be someone who believes in evolution and a Christianist would be a person who believes in Christianity. Of course, most people who believe in Christianity already are Christians, so it's rather superfluous.

Nonsense. Creationist is a word. Wikiality is a new word, and so is Truthiness, why can't evolution be a new word too? Simply because it leads people to believe that evolution is a religion? Nonsense. Let them tell their children what they want, they'll discover the truth in college.

Why would you assume the concept of christianity is exclusive of the concept of evolution.
Jesus made no comment on creation in any sense.
The biblical version is a fairy tale tell told to people who were essentially sheep herders .
Evolution is merely the process GOD used .

If we take off on the "Islamist" term used in the news, I'd think that "Christianist" would be someone who wants precepts of the Christian religion incorporated into government policy -- a pretty nasty notion if you ask me.

Send the mullahs back to the mosques, the rabbis back to the schuls, and the priests and ministers back into the churches! Leave your religions out of politics and let the rest of us LIVE!

I think the term is creationist, you could believe God created the Earth without being a Christian (which is a person who believes in Christ as more than a person)
