My neighbor got 2 pomeranians from a shelter that only asked for donations in return since they were both fixed already. but I dont believe that website, in fact I'd probably report it for being a scam.

It is a scam. I saw on the news about this. You might end up with a very sick puppy that will die or a dog that is not the breed you wanted or nothing at all. If you have any pet store in your area call them to see if they have any Pomeranians, check your local news paper, or just type in Pomeranian puppies and city and state you are in, on your search engine. You just might find what you are looking for in your own back yard.
Or take your daughter to a local shelter, she just might like the idea of saving a puppy and saving a life from a shelter might save you some money.
Good Luck!!

First of all i am so sorry to hear that you wonderfully friend passed away, its not a good time for you. I recently lost my chihuahua so i do totally understand. You can never replace a dog, but sometimes a new addition helps you come to terms with your loss.
im sorry to say this, but, yes it is a scan. You NEVER ship a puppy, its not fair on puppy, he/she could have any disease etc.
Stay clear of him, to be honest you would send your money for shipping and then that's it, you wont here from him again, and you certainly wont get a pup.
Pomeranian are lovely little dogs, i have 3, they are as expensive as chihuahuas. I dont no where you live but, i no someone who has lots of poms for rehome homing, but she is in Kent.
Try epuz and the free adds, they may have a pom.

Yep, Its a scam! My friend send the money for shipping to a guy who said he had free puppies on a website and that was 3 years ago and still no puppy. Your best bet is to go to the shelter.

Yes it is a scam, just read about something like this last week on the net. Go to your local shelter and check out what they have, there are many pure breeds waiting there for homes, and you just never know, you might see one that you like even better than a Pomeranian, sometimes it is better not to get one just like you had before, if it doesn't act or do the things your old one did, sometimes it can be a great disappointment for your daughter. Best of luck.

It's a scam. Your best chance of finding a healthy puppy from a reputable breeder is to contact your nearest Pomeranian Club. It won't be cheap and you may have to wait a while, but at least you will be sure of a purebred Pom who is far less likely to have health problems than one from a backyard breeder.
NEVER buy from a 3rd party, always see the pups with their Mum.

Personally I would be leery of it. A lot of people will have scams over the internet and try to sell you a dog that doesn't exist. It unfortunate because people get their hopes up and pay a lot of money for a dog they never recieve. Plus, I haven't heard of people giving away a dog like a Pom, there could be something wrong with the dog and it may not be a full blooded Pom. If you are dead set on getting your daughter a Pom I would try to arrange a meeting with this person and see if you can see this dog for yourself. Also, try going to the Humane Society. There are plenty of dogs there that nee a loving home and will be euthanized if they aren't adopted. We have gotten several dogs from the Humane Society and they are wonderful.

How much is he asking for shipping? Have you seen pictures of them? I would have to think that there is something wrong with the puppies since he is giving them away, no reputable breeder would give the pups away and they definitely would not ship them. I would beware of this situation.
Try looking on www.petfinder.com or searching for a Pom rescue in your area.
I am truly sorry for your loss but don't let some crook prey on you because you just lost yours.

Re contact them and play along. Ask what sort of shipping, how garuanteed it is, how animal freindly, when you should expect it. who the shipper is, bombard them with questions, so it's imposible to give any definative reply. What ever you do send no cash, just wind them up for fun, it's good.
Buying a dog, well if you've already had one, you know it's costly, but the orthodox route is posibly the only way to go.
Good luck.

It does not sound good to me at all. Stay away from things like you have just described.
Go in person to see the dogs and pups and their surroundings. Then decide if you want to purchase a pup from them. I do not believe in shipping a pup either. There is no one to watch over the pup. There are to many bad things can happen while being shipped.
