Peace is calmness, the absence of emotion. Happiness is an emotion. The two feel completely different, and with enough practice, you'll be able to tell them apart.

Happiness is a fleeting thing that usually depends on your circumstances. Peace in more than an emotion it's a calm way down deep in your soul than nothing can disturb.

Happiness is short-lived. It comes in phases. Finding a $20 dollar bill may make you happy..until you spend it. Peace it being content with finding the $20 dollar bill and content spending it. Its knowing who you are and being ok with everything, while happiness is something experienced in doses.

You can be at peace independently from being happy and vice versa. Peace is a state on not being concerned or worried, and happiness is being joyful.

Peace is not.

You can only be happy when things you want are happening.

You can be at peace when things are going either way.
